Train Booking, PNR & Tatkal Questions
How accurate is the seat confirmation chance shown here? +
It's an estimate, not a guarantee. The percentage is generated by our railway data provider from historical booking trends for that train, class and waitlist position, currently available for General quota only. Indian Railways itself describes its own official prediction as "purely indicative" — treat ours the same way.
What's the difference between WL, RAC and CNF? +
CNF means your seat is confirmed. RAC (Reservation Against Cancellation) means you get a shared berth and are guaranteed to travel, but may not get your own berth. WL (Waitlist) means no seat is allocated yet — it may move to RAC or CNF as others cancel, right up until chart preparation.
When does Tatkal booking open? +
Tatkal opens one day before the journey date (excluding the day of travel) — 10 AM for AC classes and 11 AM for non-AC classes. Message us the evening before and we'll have your details ready to book the moment the window opens.
Why book through Travellers Deals instead of IRCTC directly? +

Can I get a refund if my ticket is cancelled? +
Refunds follow standard Indian Railways cancellation rules based on how far ahead of departure you cancel and the ticket status (CNF/RAC/WL). We'll walk you through the exact deduction for your ticket before you confirm a cancellation.
